Very sturdy and well made
This bed rail is not made of cheap aluminum and very impressed with the quality. The support under the mattress is nice and long and does not wiggle once you have it assembled and installed. The adjustment for the legs work well and nice and tight against the floor.

Bed Support Rail – 5 out of 5 – VERY IMPRESSED!!
Received a suggestion on this product from a friend when my Mom had a slip off the side of the bed. The Support Rail was priced very well, arrived within two days and was packaged great; parts were individually wrapped so no scratches or dings in the finish! The assembly was slightly hard to understand using the photo instruction; in the end the full picture was the most helpful. (4.5 with 5 being easy). Wasn’t sure how sturdy this product would be, am totally impressed with it now! 5 out of 5 for stability and safety. We placed the unit at the head of the bed but you can place it at any position you prefer for personal use. The bed has a memory foam mattress (which is very heavy to lift or shift) so it did take two people to lift the mattress into the air OVER and then set it down on top of the underbed assembly – but between the safety strap around the bed frame and mattress on top of the unit, the safety bar became as solid as if we had mounted it to the wall and floor. Another nice feature is multiple height adjustments on the legs as it turned out one leg was on carpet and one on sealed concrete floor (we just set the first leg to height on the carpet and then lowered the other leg one notch and the unit was level and firm). Once in place two large adults tried to move or shift it and couldn’t. It provides Mom with a handle to grab when sitting up in bed and balance as she swings her legs to the side of the bed as well as stability for her to hold onto while she puts on socks or pants before standing. Then she uses it to reach standing position (she has bad knees and is not a small woman) it provides HER with the firm stability she needs for confidence she can “do for herself” again and US with the peace of mind that she is safe and stable. The unit also looks great without shouting “safety bars” when you see it, and putting on sheets and blankets is no challenge at all.

Nice Handle For The Bed, But A Weird Tie-down Strap
This rail is a great bed accessory, but it doesn’t install as described. We picked this model because we decided that legs on the floor were more stable than the models that merely slide under the bed. After a bit of a problem-solving brainstorm, we got it installed and it works fine. It is kind of short for the bed, but to be fair, the destructions do say that it’s meant for narrow mattresses. We wanted it to work anyway because of the brand, the price, and the stability. The frame itself was simple to put together. We lifted the mattress and expected to have it installed in minutes. Then we came to the strap. The destructions were not clear on this point and the diagrams looked like this very long strap was just supposed to hook over the bed frame on the opposite side of the bed. There was way too much strap for that. Since this rail is supposed to fit all bed sizes, we just figured that all the extra length was for the king beds and since we were dealing with twin, we’d just shorten the strap. It was still too long. The frame of the rail that goes under the mattress is as wide as the twin mattress itself, so it’s only a few inches down to the bed frame on the other side. And the direction the buckle pointed indicated that the strap had to come from the opposite direction. So it took some analytical thinking to solve this problem and figure out that the strap had to go all the way around the box spring and come up from under the bed to buckle on the other side. From that angle, it tightened just like any buckle strap and the bed rail was secure. But, there’s always a but. We had to take the bed skirt off because you can’t buckle a strap over a bed skirt that’s under the rail frame. We could have cut the bed skirt to make slits for the strap, but that would be just as ugly as no bed skirt. So we’ll live with what you can see in the picture. The black strap is going around the box spring. The rail stands just above the mattress. This was only meant as a handle to hold on to, not a safety rail to keep anybody from rolling out of bed, so the height works for us. It’s actually a good height to hold while standing. Yes, it would be nice if they could add a few more holes into the upward adjustment so the rail could be higher. We don’t really see why that would be so hard on future models. But for now, it’s the best that it will get. We like it and it works for the intended purpose, but we’re rating it a 4 because of the unclear instructions regarding the strap which results in having to jimmy-rig it your own way with somewhat unprofessional looking results. In case you’re wondering, that other black thing you see in the picture is our pre-existing bed table. It, too, has a frame that simply slides under the mattress and was convenient for years. We didn’t want to lose that table because of the bed rail, so luckily it fit right between the rails, and right where it always was. Yet because the bed rail poles are a thicker dimension than the table poles, and you can see how the bed rail lifts the mattress a bit, the table was too loose when it slid in under the mattress. We just zip-tied the two together and we have a more stable table than we ever had! The table hides the use of the mesh pocket, but that’s okay with us. We installed it just because. We don’t need it and could just take it off.

Does the job!
Works well. Recommend. Using it for a big guy and the legs to the ground keep it very stable.

Very sturdy and is so helpful to my 89 year old mother to get in and out of bed with.

2 years old and broken
Bought this for my elderly mother. It installs great and has ample adjustability for different beds. It is easy to set up…but…after 18 months the adjustable collars that set the length of the pipes started breaking one after the other. Initially we taped them, but eventually that was no longer a solid solution and we ended up buying a different one.
