    Phenomenal Knee Scooter.
Prior to buying this I rode around jokingly on friends knee scooters with small wheels. I was instantly scared as they were sketchy and unstable. That’s not the case with this scooter. When I took it into my podiatrist’s office, it got a TON of comments about how nice it was, even by the Nurse!Being 6′ 280lbs, I wanted something solid that I could roll around on and keep my mobility. This fits the bill.Highlights:1) The big tires are great for any surface. I’ve taken it through the house, gravel, grass, etc. no issues.2) Knee comfort. The pad works well. When it’s hot, it will get sweaty, but my knee kept a good grip.3) Stability. Don’t get me wrong, if you turn too fast in the direction with no foot, you can fall over. If you try something dumb, you can fall over. (I never put the training wheel on.)4) The basket is amazing, and very needed.5) Great over the top packaging.6) Easy to assemble with the included tools.7) Changing the tubes was easy with a set of bike tire levers.Lowlights:1) The valves on the wheels are not angled enough to get most air pumps on too. I ended up switching the tubes to a Specalized 60deg 12″ tube and it’s worked great. (THIS IS MY BIGGEST GRIPE)2) The Brakes are good, but I feel my rear wheel is out of round just a touch leading to a pulsating of the brakes. I’ve adjusted quite a bit, and they’re still…. good.3) The grips tend to rotate, so you have to move them back occasionally. I thought about changing the grips but they aren’t that bad.4) If you need to put the training wheel on or take the rear tire off, the nut was TIGHT. You will need tools.5) You will need a small head air pump to air the tires, and to occasionally top them off. (All bike tires lose air.)All in all I really like this scooter. I’d give it a 4.75 if I could based solely on the difficult to fill tubes.Other impressions based on other reviews/comments:1) The turning radius is big, I tend to just pick up the front end or whole scooter as needed.2) PRACTICE before you need it. There is a learning curve to understand your stability.3) The tires will scuff your floor if you slide it around.4) You will run over your toes if you go backwards.5) I lowered the knee pad to it’s lowest position for greater stability.6) You will use muscles you’ve never used before. Don’t just think you can go out and ride if for miles right out of the box.All in all, this is a great knee scooter. Highly reccomended.

    A genuine life saver
I bought this scooter in March after I broke my ankle. I saw recommendations for getting an all-terrain scooter. Because we have multiple floors I ended buying a smaller scooter for our upstairs. That one is not all terrain. That one has trouble handling the thinnest of floor rugs. This KneeRover has been amazing. Not least because It is now almost November and I am still non-weight bearing due to complications. So I now have nearly 8 months of experience on this thing. I have taken it to pumpkin patches that have been in fields with hills. I have gone across fields to my daughter’s soccer practices and games. I have gone over our gravel driveway. I roll to her bus stop every morning. I can get up and down curbs with care. It’s strong enough for me to put the front wheels up or down and support me til I can get my good leg up or down to move the rest of the scooter. It can also travel pretty fast on a flat, straight-away. It has allowed me to live my life. It has allowed me to keep up with my 6 year old. It’s only downside is its turn radius, which isn’t super great, but that is minor compared to the fact that it can travel over fields and gravel. It’s pretty stable, much more so than my upstairs one. It’s still possible to tip if you aren’t careful, but it has a nice wide base and strong wheels. And again, you can roll on a flat straight surface at a pretty good clip without it feeling unstable. Also you can use it as a seat. I don’t know what I would have done without this. If you are looking for an indoor/outdoor scooter and don’t need it to steer around hairpin corners indoors, this is what you want. (Also it has indeed held up through 8 months of not-gentle usage, and also did hold up to flying/being gate-checked once.) A+

    works!
If you need a knee scooter, be sure to check this one out.The knee pad is comfortable, the frame is sturdy as a bicycle and the 10 inch inflatable tires really smooth out the ride. Rides right over a door threshold that smaller rigid tires will bang into.only downsides is that it is rather larger (which is actually a good thing) and heavier – again not a bad thing – which makes it a bit more awkward to load into a car. To me well worth the hassle.Where I work we have carpeted office space and a factory floor with cables, expansion joints and a few grades. I travel through this space at 4 x the speed of crutches with 1/10th of the effort. This costs over 2 x a cheap one but you get what you pay for!

Excellent cart, once adjusted and tires properly aligned and inflated!
I had another knee scooter previously which did not compare to the quality of this unit; especially the larger all terrain tires and the frame clearance and sturdiness. That said, the front tires are connected by a tie-rod mechanism which required considerable adjustments to get properly aligned. All three of the tires were completely flat on delivery. It should be noted that not all tire inflators may fit as the clearance between the air valves and the rim is very close. Once inflated the Knee Rover really glides! After assembly and adjustments were done, I marvel at the ease of use and how it glides over uneven surfaces and with the frame height I am able to easily navigate the entrance to the house and small stair to my back yard!I did not install the “training wheel” but can see where it may be helpful for some people. All in all, I highly recommend this walker!!

This knee scooter is more reasonably priced than one’s in local medical supply stores of lesser quality. It came with real tools for assembly. The large wheels allow user to even go over/off of low curbs without difficulty. What surprised me was the 4th wheel at the back which can be switched to whichever side user needs more support on. Knee cushion is just right for firmness and the material feels like it will last. The hand brake works well.I am very satisfied that I chose this brand and model as I will be using it for a few months.I don’t see it being super easy to collapse and put into vehicle by the user, especially if the user can’t weight bear, as it does have some weight to it.

If you’re looking at this… you need it. So get it. The sooner you do, the longer you will have your independence back. (As a parent, this is a win for everyone)Purchased for a 10 year old who had surgery and couldn’t bare weight on foot for 6 weeks. We couldn’t rent one locally, so we bought this one. It’s on the lowest settings for him, and would easily work for me at 5’3 as well when adjusted. We didn’t bother with the stability wheel, as it “looks like a training wheel”, but, it was stable enough for an active and mobile boy. He was easily able to lift it and shift it where and when he wanted to. He could lift over lips in doors or down curbs (it’s crazy how inaccessible spaces are in your community when you become aware). That being said, it was easy enough for a 10 year old and far better than the learning curve and struggle of slipping on ice and instability with crutches.Used in Canada before and during first snow. Used on ice, in snow and works great. We did get the this all train version which was great. Used at school, on school ramps. Breaks work great and there is a break lock for when taking off jacket and hanging up bags, using the toilet etc. The only fallback was that we trekked in snow everywhere, but I wasn’t about to buy one for inside our house and another for out. When sitting in a school chair or at restaurant, the seat portion of this scooter is a great height for resting a foot on it. Or, you can also slip the seat under a desk to keep it out of the way.Handles fold back to put in trunk. Or… the whole unit is small enough to lay on its side in a hatchback or extended cab truck with the seat up.Basket is a great size and not too big as to get in the way. It also comes off easily if you prefer not to have it.

This knee scooter is worth the high price. I need traction to get up and down my driveway and to drive through the gravel. It doesn’t have a tight turning radius but it does have incredible maneuverability by executing a several-point turn around. It is well made, easy to put together, and has quality materials. The knee seat is pretty comfortable as well. I am so happy that I splurged on this model while I am healing from a broken ankle.

  9. Lou

A well made, sturdy scooter, easy to construct with the instructions, tools and bolts provided. I’m impressed with it, the only downside was the price. Bought for my stroke survivor husband who has an arthritic knee on his immobile, left side. He can rest his left knee, scoot along on his right and use the brake with his good right hand. He is thrilled as he can get out and about again, after the stroke robbed his ability to cycle and drive. Worth the money, compared to flimsier, small wheeled versions from other manufacturers, it’s like a Rolls Royce of scooters. Well done KneeRover!
