No deck or load certified hardware
Without the deck what’s the point, boat crank and a few pulley and some hardware that’s not certified for holding a load, 300 pounds but you have to minus the weight of the deck.

Good Base Kit – but Not Everything You Need
This kit for a garage hoist includes all of the pulleys and hardware needed for the core of a basic garage lift. You will still need your own base deck of whatever size you want to build. I recommend using wire rope instead of what is supplied in the kit, but if you are not lifting 100’s of pounds the included rope is fine. With a little bit of extra engineering you can add a motor to the lift to make it even nicer – YouTube is a great source for ideas. Overall quality base parts you need to get going included.

The hooks, pulleys, and hoist are very heavy duty. The listing picture shows an Elephant standing on a lifted shelf supported by this…Don’t try it! It’s not going to hold even a baby Elephant.Most of the kit is good quality except for the included rope. It’s “Reinforced braided nylon rope”. I chose not to use this because I didn’t feel it was strong enough. Instead I got vinyl coated stainless cable. You can find it on Amazon for about $25. Otherwise good kit.
