Happy to have found this transition strip. It was a bit long for my doorway, but my husband was able to cut it with a hack saw, he basically scored it and snapped it.As you can see, I needed to go from tile to carpet at the threshold. My cats had shredded the edge of the carpeting because cats donât do closed doors! Anyway, this should prevent any more of that business.I was torn about using Gorilla Glue on the tile. I may still do it if my first method doesnât work out, but for now, I used double sided gel tape, itâs kind of a thick silicone tape.( Iâll post a picture of it ) For now itâs holding well, but time will tell.If you have a situation like mine, get this, it works and looks good. Much better idea than replacing the carpet! P.S. I Chose silver because my door hardware is silver. Looks good.

Better than hardware stores
I wanted something to transition from my wood floors to the new tile I put in my bathroom and this was perfect. After going to hardware stores and online, all I could find was strips that had nail holes through it or ugly finishes. This is exactly what I was looking for, it has no nail holes through it, and it has a great finish. I used some silicone to set it on the floor and where there was a dip in the floor, I used some super glue to hold it down and it looks perfect. It was easy to cut to length and the bottom has enough room to hide any major discrepancies in the flooring.

Pay attention to the description
I would give 5 starts but the only problem was that is to thin easy to bend but maybe i didnât read all the specifications had to add wood under to support it better

I used Aluminum Floor Transition Threshold Strip (36 Inch Threshold Ramps for Doorways, Wheelchairs, Door/Tile/Threshold Reducer, Doorway Edge Trim Suitable for Threshold Height Less Than 1.6 Inch) to bridge two concrete slabs with a different height (about 1 inch). A plant root had moved one slab up a bit. A concrete shaving job would have cost $250+. I glued the strip with Loctite construction glue and it is very sturdy and safe now. I had to order several different kinds of strips but only this one worked because it is for heights between 0.7 and 1.6 inch, which gives you flexibility. I also didn’t have to cut off anything on the end because it fit the concrete slab perfectly. I’m happy that I only spent a fraction of the proposed repair cost and it looks much nicer now than a shaved concrete slab would have looked. I’m not sure how long it will last but if I have to glue it again in one year, I would still be OK with the solution.

48â vs 36â
I placed an order for a 48â threshold and received a 36â threshold. The product appears nice and will work nicely for what I need. However, after the first order was returned I placed another order for the 48â along with a note asking to verify the size. I received the 36â a second time which I returned again along with a note. I got not response from the manufacturer.This product would have a good rating from me if the company could figure out how to send the correct items.
