Makes going down the stairs not so scary
My husband recently had a total hamstring repair and cannot weight bear for several weeks. He refused to sleep on the couch so we needed to come up with a safe solution to help him navigate the stairs. Going up the stairs with crutches isn’t that bad, but going down the stairs with crutches seems more like a leap of faith and this walker really makes a difference. It was easy to put together and feels steady. I like you can also make the legs the same height. He has used it to help steady himself when showering. I have already recommended this to my friends.

Safe and stable cane for the stairs
This cane has been a great help for going up and down the stairs (especially going down) safely and securely. This is a lot more sturdy and stable than the traditional cane. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for more support while using the stairs!

Life saver!!!
This product works so well in assisting me to go up and down the stairs while I was non weight bearing on my left leg! It is sturdy, and gives a sense of security/stability without being too heavy to carry from place to place. Additionally, you can make the legs even at the bottom, and use as a cane or as an assist to stand if your walker isn’t handy!

Extremely helpful mobility aide!
I bought 2 versions of this type of stair canes for a family vacation today rental with no railings. This one is much better BY FAR!! Sending the silver one back to Amazon and we may buy a 2nd one of these for similar situations for no railings situations. My dad is very unstable so we did have to hold both canes in place to keep him steady but he was able to climb up and down stairs on the first try!! This will also be perfect for stairs that only have 1 railing so he can hold on with both hands like his walker. Well worth the cost for peace of mind.

Better than expected
I purchased this for my wife, she is 5’2″, since our staircase only has hand rail on one side she needed support with both hands. I had to put it together is four pieces and no tools required.Padding for hands are nice and squishy providing great grip going up or down the stairs. Although it can be adjusted to same height both legs and be use as a regular cane I will not recommend it, I’m 5’8 and it was a bit higher and uncomfortable to be use as a cane! For taller people it works better for stairs. Construction and materials feels sturdy. Look wise is a plus with the black mate finish.Another good thing is the safety push pins, it comes with double pins so you can do mini adjustments if needed.Things to improve… Foldability is not there, so you have to carry or store it the way it is or pull it apart which can be annoying.
