550 lb man
Purchased this for my husband for after he had surgery on his leg. He is a large man, weighing in at 550lbs. Finding something for his size I thought would be difficult, but this worked out perfectly. It’s sturdy, the suction cups at the bottom are so beneficial because it helps the seat not move when he is sitting on it. I have a garden tub, and it’s hard to get in and out of. This worked well for him as it fit perfectly in between the floor and the shower tub. Water leaks, but I’m figuring a way to prevent that. Would recommend for heavier set individuals and also tall individuals as my spouse is 6 ft.
Vacuum works good. Cord rewind needs a lot of work. –

Medically caused morbid obesity here (400pounds). We were impressed with how well built this was. My husband had no problems putting it together. It was fast and easy. The instructions are on the label attached to the leg of the seat. (My husband had thought they had forgotten to put the instructions in.)Very disappointed though that it will not work in our bathtub which is a typical bathtub -not the most basic- but typical. I think any of these size of bath benches will not serve a very large person in a tub. They are better suited in a large shower room or a very large shower unit.First of all, my tub has a slight curve so I can’t put it all the way to the back. I can’t get up in front of it if I want/need to stand. But the biggest problem is because it is for the very bariatric, no matter how close I put it to the wall of my tub my body is left partially out trying to sit in the remaining space. There was no way for me to tuck both legs in the tub sitting down. There was no way for me to sit without my leg hanging out. Perhaps if the legs were not at an angle, you’d save a few inches. But it’s simply not compatible. It’s a good build though and a solid bench seat. But because of the angled legs, there’s no way to get any closer to the side of the tub by the wall to try to get your opposite leg in. It’s probably a lot more sturdy having that angled leg anyways. The seat sits very high at it’s lowest. I am almost 5‘8“ tall. I would need it shortened because it is not comfortable cutting into my legs and being on my tiptoes. It can easily clear our tub that has a taller side, by 3 inches. My husband who is a tradesmen, says we would actually have to cut/ shorten two of the legs to get it to fit better into the tub for height. Someone had done that in another review on a bath bench this size. They all have the same minimum height for bench. And if that’s all that is needed to be done to make this work, I would’ve happily done it.Had to return. Not sure what we’re going to do now.

Do you have to put the back on? Seems free on own. Too cumbersome.
